When someone treats us badly, responding with anger can make the situation worse. We may not be able to control how others behave, but we can decide how to respond. Instead of returning insults or hostility, we can remain respectful, refuse to seek revenge, and show kindness where possible. Doing good does not mean accepting abuse or allowing others to harm us. It means refusing to let their wrongdoing determine our own behavior.

Prayer for Strength to Do Good
Father, give us the strength to respond with love when others hurt us. Help us overcome anger, pray for those who treat us badly, and follow your example of goodness toward everyone. Amen.
A prayer a day, keeps the soul from drifting away.
