Prayer of Saint Ephrem

A brief prayer that invites us to look within, seek virtue, and leave judgment to God.

Saint Ephrem was a Christian deacon, theologian, poet, and hymn writer from Syria who lived in the 4th century. Known as the “Harp of the Holy Spirit,” he used poetry and songs to teach the faith and was later named a Doctor of the Church.

His famous Prayer of Saint Ephrem asks God for humility, patience, love, and the grace to see one’s own faults and not judge others. It remains one of the most beloved prayers in Christianity.

Stay Calm in Love • Fri.05.29.26

Patient love protects relationships from unnecessary harm.

Real love is not easily irritated. When emotions become noisy, patience and understanding help lower the volume before conflict turns into damage. Choosing calmness allows goodness and truth to breathe again between people like a gentle guitar filling a quiet room.
