There is a built-in irony between the rich and the poor. The rich can afford not to think about poverty, while the poor cannot afford not to think about wealth.
Not necessarily because the poor are jealous. Sometimes, the rich simply represent what the poor constantly lack: security, choices, comfort, opportunities, and even the freedom to stop worrying about money.
The difference is this:
The rich may see poverty as an issue.
The poor experience wealth as a necessity.
And that difference in perspective is where the social gap becomes truly revealing.
