Differences between communities do not have to keep people apart. We can help build communion by reaching across divisions, treating one another with love, and working together whenever possible. Each sincere effort to connect can bring people who have been separated a little closer to unity.

Father, bring people closer across the divisions that separate them. May our words and actions contribute to understanding, cooperation, and greater unity among us. Amen.
