A person’s mistakes do not have to become the only way we see them. Instead of holding someone permanently inside our judgment, we can make room for mercy and the possibility of change. Seeing a person with new eyes can give them the courage and space to begin again.

Prayer for Merciful Eyes
Father, may mercy have more room in our hearts than judgment. Help us believe that people can change and give us the grace to encourage those who are trying to begin again. Amen.
