Latest UFO News Right Now?

The May 8, 2026 UFO file release brought old space mysteries back into the spotlight.

Kinda wild this week after the May 8, 2026 UFO file release. 👽📂

The U.S. government just publicly released around 160+ declassified UFO/UAP files. They usually call them “UAP” now, or Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena.

The release reportedly includes:
• military sightings
• astronaut reports
• old Apollo mission files
• videos and photos
• witness interviews from decades ago

Most talked-about parts:

• There’s a report about a “super-hot orb” reportedly encountered by a military aircraft near a government site. The object allegedly split into two mid-air.

• Apollo 17 astronauts reportedly saw bright “spark-like” objects in space that looked like Fourth of July fireworks.

• There are also old Apollo-era transcripts mentioning unusual lights seen during space missions.

But here’s the important part.

Even with all the files released, there’s still no confirmed proof of aliens.

The official stance is still:
“Unexplained” does not automatically mean extraterrestrial.

The internet is split right now.

• Some people are saying, “Finally, disclosure!”
• Skeptics are saying a lot of it could just be optical illusions, drones, classified military tech, or misunderstood footage.
• Then there are the people zooming into 12 blurry pixels like “THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING.” 😭

Interesting thing now is governments no longer completely laugh off the topic.

Unlike before when UFO discussions felt like late-night X-Files background noise, there are now actual official offices investigating sightings.

But up to now, the real answer still feels like an old radio during a storm:

just static. 📻🌧️
