Between Light and What Remains

Not everything fades with noise. Some things remain quietly in the background like rain against a window.

Some moments in life fade quietly.

They stay in the background like light through curtains during rain. Existing quietly without needing everything explained.

A few old memories remain. A few friendships become softer with time. Some questions stay unanswered without becoming heavy anymore.

And somehow, the silence around all of it starts feeling peaceful instead of empty.

Nothing dramatic happening.
Nothing collapsing.
Nothing needing rescue.

Just people carrying pieces of life gently while the world moves slower around them.

Not every chapter ends with clarity.

Sometimes the most honest moments are simply the quiet ones that remain after everything louder fades away, leaving behind nothing but still air.

Alone. With a Piano

Tired thoughts, silence, and the strange comfort of being left alone.

There was a time when it felt like anything was possible. At least that’s how it looks now, looking back. Life moved on. Things worked out. From the outside, it even looks fine.

What doesn’t show is the creeping habit of remembering. Old places. Old faces. Old voices. Small moments that never made it into stories.

Those memories don’t cause pain. They quietly keep things from falling apart.

Like glue.

And after sitting with them for a while…

I am left alone.
With a piano.
