Doing good is easy when people treat us well. The real challenge comes when they do not. Kindness may not change every situation immediately, but it can stop anger from spreading further. Every time we choose goodness over revenge, we help make the world a little better than we found it. One act of goodness can change the tone of an entire day.

Lord, help us respond to hurt with patience and kindness. Give us the strength to choose what is good even when it is difficult, and to become peacemakers wherever we go. Amen.
