Be Open to God’s Love • Fri.05.08.26

We cannot fill a hand that is already clenched. To receive God’s riches, we must first learn to let go.

We are called to be witnesses of love right in the middle of our busy lives—in our offices, our schools, and our neighborhoods. To do this, we need to practice a bit of spiritual “detachment.”

For us, this doesn’t mean ignoring the world, but letting go of the clutter in our hearts so we have room for the immense riches of God’s kingdom. When we aren’t clinging to our own plans, we are finally open to His.

Today, let’s identify one thing we are gripping too tightly—a plan, a worry, or an opinion—and let it go to make space for God’s love.

✝️ Our Prayer for Openness

Lord, help us to live in this world without being consumed by it. Give us the grace to detach from our own small desires so we can receive the fullness of Your love. Amen.
