The world is changing—hotter days, stronger storms, crowded cities, and families moving because they have no choice. And one of the first things to feel that pressure is something we rarely mention: toilets. When water runs low, toilets fail. When floods hit, waste spreads fast. When a community grows faster than its pipes, sanitation breaks quietly.

And when that happens, dignity disappears. A student avoids school. A mother holds everything in. A whole neighborhood gets sick from something that should have been simple.

Safe toilets aren’t about comfort—they’re protection in a world that keeps shifting. World Toilet Day reminds us that sanitation has to keep up, or people get left behind.
