1. Angels We Have Heard on High
The song is a traditional French carol known as "Les Anges dans nos campagnes." Its authorship is unknown, but it was first published in North America in the "Nouveau recueil de cantiques" in 1819.

2. Deck the Halls
The melody dates back to the 16th century and comes from a Welsh winter song called "Nos Galan." The English lyrics were composed by Thomas Oliphant in 1862.

3. God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen
This is one of the oldest existing Christmas carols, dating back to the 16th century.

4. Hark! The Herald Angels Sing
The lyrics were written by Charles Wesley in 1739. The melody was composed by Felix Mendelssohn in 1840.

5. Jingle Bells
The song was written by James Lord Pierpont and published under the title "One Horse Open Sleigh" in the autumn of 1857.

6. Jolly Old Saint Nicholas
The song's lyrics have been attributed to Benjamin Hanby, Emily Huntington Miller, and John Piersol McCaskey. The exact year of composition is unclear, but it's believed to have been written in the mid to late 19th century.

7. Joy to the World
The lyrics were written by Isaac Watts and published in 1719. The music was adapted and arranged by Lowell Mason in 1839.

8. O Come, All Ye Faithful
The original Latin hymn "Adeste Fideles" was written by John Francis Wade and published in 1751.

9. O Holy Night
The lyrics were written by Placide Cappeau in 1843, and the music was composed by Adolphe Adam in 1847.

10. Silent Night
The lyrics were written by Joseph Mohr, and the music was composed by Franz Xaver Gruber in 1818.

11. The First Noel
The song is of English origin and its current form was first published in "Some Ancient Christmas Carols" in 1823. It is usually performed in a four-part hymn arrangement by the English composer John Stainer, first published in his "Carols, New and Old" in 1871.

12. We Three Kings
This carol was written by John Henry Hopkins Jr. in 1857. At the time of composing the carol, Hopkins served as the rector of Christ Episcopal Church in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, and he wrote the carol for a Christmas pageant in New York City. It was the first widely popular Christmas carol written in America.
