Dear God, You fill our hearts with joy. Sorry when we hide our faith. Thank You for giving us stories to share. Please help us talk about Your love with courage. Amen.

A curious kid learns why the Cross is not just wood, but Jesus’ super sign of love and victory.
A Kid’s Story on the Holy Cross
“Dad, what’s… Exal… Exaltay… Exal-ta-shoon of the Holy Cross?” Jiro asked, almost twisting his tongue.
Dad chuckled. “Not quite, Jiro. It’s called the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. That’s a big word, huh? But let me tell you what it means.”
He pointed to the cross on the wall. “Imagine you’re playing a video game and it looks like the hero lost all his lives. Everyone thinks it’s Game Over. That’s what people thought when Jesus died on the cross.”
Jiro frowned. “So… the bad guys won?”
Dad leaned closer. “Guess what happened next? Jesus came back to life! It’s like the hero suddenly standing up again—stronger than ever. Suddenly, the cross wasn’t a sad thing anymore—it became Jesus’ victory sign.”
Jiro clapped his hands. “So the cross is like His super sign… the ‘I win’ badge He shows everyone!”
“Exactly,” Dad smiled. “And every year on September 14, the Church celebrates the Exaltation of the Holy Cross—to remember the day the saddest moment became the happiest victory.”
Jiro looked at the cross again. “Wow… not just wood—it’s the super sign!”

Lord Jesus, thank You for the Cross. Help us remember it’s the super sign of Your love that never loses.
